Have you seen rats in your home, garden, loft, commercial premises or around your bins? ProPest provides professional rat control and removal throughout Oxford and Oxfordshire.
We investigate where rats are coming from, identify likely entry points and nesting areas, and recommend a treatment plan suited to the infestation.
Rat activity can begin in gardens, drains, lofts, wall cavities, outbuildings and commercial premises before becoming obvious.
Common signs include droppings, scratching or movement, gnawing damage, burrows, nesting material and rat sightings.
A professional investigation can establish where rats are travelling, where they may be nesting and how they are entering the property.
Our approach focuses on identifying the cause of the infestation rather than simply treating visible activity.
Investigation: We inspect for signs of activity, nesting areas, harbourage and travel routes.
Entry points: We look for routes through drains, pipework, air bricks, wall cavities, roof spaces and structural gaps.
Treatment: We recommend an appropriate control programme based on our findings.
Proofing: Where appropriate, we identify measures that can help prevent rats returning.
This is our Integrated Pest Management approach: combine evidence from inspection with suitable control, prevention and review. Where appropriate, we can discuss a drain CCTV survey or rodent proofing as part of that plan.
Rats can travel through concealed spaces before appearing where you first notice them. If we suspect drainage or another concealed entry route, we can recommend further investigation such as a CCTV drain survey where appropriate.
Our aim is to identify the source and give you a practical plan for dealing with the problem.
ProPest provides local rat control for homes, landlords, rental properties and commercial premises across Oxford and Oxfordshire.
We cover Oxford and surrounding areas including Abingdon, Didcot, Kidlington, Witney, Bicester, Thame and Wheatley, as well as surrounding towns and villages.
Removing accessible food and improving bin storage can help discourage rats, but an established infestation may continue if the underlying cause isn’t addressed.
Professional investigation can help identify entry points, nesting areas, travel routes and whether drainage may be contributing to the problem, allowing you to tackle the cause as well as the activity.
